The Necropolitan
The city that never rests in peace. The Necropolitan is a vast and ever-expanding metropolis where the Astral Cluster's dead go to live among the hustle and bustle of an eternal night life. Once the afterlife for only a single universe, it is, ironically, one of the liveliest spheres in the Astral Cluster, overflowing with music, culture, and loud neon lights. While most World Spheres tend to remain the same size, The Necropolitan naturally expands to accommodate the dearly arriving. You name it, the Mausoleum State area has it… or will, in good time.
The Pale Gardens
At the center of The Necropolitan is a vast park/graveyard where the recently deceased are excavated by gravediggers and further processed by reapers. The Pale Gardens are admired by citizens for their melancholic beauty. They’re a popular meeting spot for everything from company picnics to dates, and almost everyone in the city has at least one fond memory of time spent enjoying the park’s wonders. No feeding the ducks.
Mausoleum State University
Mausoleum State University is the leading school of necromancy, cryptology, and the performing arts in the entire Astral Cluster. It sponsors the Necropolitan Bloodletters and is home of the coveted Tombstone Stadium, where every Mageball legend eventually steps up to bat. The theater department is currently having a casting call for the beloved comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Death”.
Tombstone Stadium
Tombstone Stadium is the home ballpark of the Necropolitan Bloodletters. Spectators are treated to a delightfully macabre aesthetic; seats are shaped like grave markers, spectral fans swirl overhead as they chant for their favorite players, and lantern spirits fill the bleachers with cool light. The stadium is also famous among Mageball fans for keeping its concessions reasonably priced—the franks, in particular, are to die for.
